Electrical Superintendent
Studebaker Electric is seeking a Transportation Electrical Superintendent AND Electricians with 5+ years of experience in Electrical Construction and Underground Electrical, specifically in the transportation infrastructure sector. The Superintendent will be expected to order all required materials for the crew, perform field layout, supervise, and work with a crew of personnel engaged in underground related tasks, provide detailed 3-week project schedules, interact with Project Manager and various Clients.
Position Summary:
The Superintendent will work in coordination with the GC/Sub(s)/Customer(s) in management of the project, project schedule and employees on the project. The Superintendent will act in a leadership capacity in maintaining productivity, safety, QC, scheduling, and a multitude of other factors that lend to successful project completion.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in Vertical Construction.
- Installation knowledge of underground infrastructure SMUD/PG&E/EDISON/VARIOUS UTILITIES (underground conduit duct banks and vaults) and able to navigate the code books applicable to these entities (PG&E Greenbook/SMUD Specifications/Etc.).
- Must have skills, including, but not limited to: reading and understanding grade stakes, plan reading, layout, various knowledge on underground conduit, pull boxes, vaults, and backfill materials.
- Must have experience as a Foreman or Journeyman Electrician or work in lead capacity overseeing crews
- Must be proficient with the use of hand power tools
- Must be proficient using a laptop or tablet and communicating via email
